We are class 8a and before the summer holidays we made a trip to London for one day. Class 8c went with us on the trip and of course our teachers Mrs Schüßler and Mrs Hüttemann and lots of parents. On Sunday 28th June we started our tour. Our coach was very small. We took the ferry from Calais to Dover. After 10 hours we arrived in London. There we went in groups through London. Each group was accompanied by one of our parents. All the pupils of our class had the same T-shirts with our names. Some of us visited Madame Tussaud’s wax museum, others Big Ben and the Tower of London and some boys and girls went to Oxford Street. Other groups just went shopping for example in Harrods and Covent Garden.
We talked to English people (and of course we made no mistake) and we learned a lot about them. But they are not so very different from us. We went by tube to different places and it was really cool! It was a very hot and sunny day, so we didn’t see “any cats and dogs falling from the sky”. But we saw lots of black taxis - there were hundreds of them. On the way home most of us fell asleep because it had been a very exhausting day. When we arrived at the MSM we were really tired, but we advise everyone to visit London, too, because it was a really great day. We had a lot of fun and we would do it again and again!
